Unexpected Voltage Problem During Equipment Testing
Good morning everyone, hope you're all doing well. I wanted to ask for some advice after we ran into a challenge while testing a piece of equipment in our workshop. The machine required different voltage levels throughout the testing process, and constantly changing the setup was becoming both time consuming and inconvenient. During the discussion, one of the technicians suggested using Variable Auto Transformers so we could adjust the voltage smoothly without modifying the entire system each time. It seemed like a practical solution, but I don’t have much experience with them. For those who have used them in real projects, how reliable were they, and what should we watch out for before adopting this approach?
